Add user account
Updated over a week ago

In this tutorial, we'll guide you through a new Swif feature to create a new account on a managed device

To get started, navigate to the device inventory page Here, select the device for which you want to create a new account and you'll see a list of existing accounts for the selected device. You can choose to create a new user account. The new account can either have standard permissions or admin permissions.

Now let's create a new account. Fill in the full name for the new account, and a corresponding user name. Next, you'll be prompted to enter a password for the new user account. After setting the password, repeat for verification. Then click on the Create Account button.

Account creation takes a bit of time as the script executes on the device. So, after 5 to 10 minutes, you can check the account list and the new account should appear.

Meanwhile, you can navigate to the command tab to see the account creation task in the queue. Note that you can cancel this task before it executes. While waiting for completion, occasionally refresh the page to check if the command has been executed.

After a few minutes, the command to create a new user account will be completed successfully. Back in the Accounts tab, you'll see the newly created account.

Lastly, when a user logs in, their last login time will be displayed on this screen. That's all there is to creating a new account on your device.
