Manage Setup Assistant for Apple devices

For new macOS devices configured with Swif ADE (Automated device enrollment), you can hide some setup screens from the device user to save time setting up a new device. Here are the Apple Docs for Manage Setup Assistant and Apple Docs for Skip keys if you want to learn more.

You can navigate to Settings > General > Device Enrollment Configuration.

Here is the list of screens you can hide from device users:

  1. "App Analytics"

    • Support OS: macOS 10.9 and later.

    • The key to skipping the App Analytics pane.

  2. "Appearance"

    • Support OS: macOS 10.14 and later.

    • The key to skipping the Choose Your Look screen.

  3. "Apple ID"

    • Support OS: macOS 10.9 and later.

    • The key to skipping Apple ID setup.

  4. "Data and privacy"

    • Support OS: macOS 10.13.4 and later.

    • The key to skipping the privacy pane.

  5. "Location Services"

    • Support OS: macOS 10.11 and later.

    • The key to disabling Location Services.

  6. "Screen Time"

    • Support OS: macOS 10.15 and later.

    • The key to skipping the Screen Time pane.

  7. "Set Up as New or Restore"

    • Support OS: macOS 10.9 and later.

    • The key to disabling restoring from backup.

  8. "Siri"

    • Support OS: macOS 10.12 and later.

    • The key to disable Siri.

  9. "Terms and conditions"

    • Support OS: macOS 10.9 and later.

    • The key to skipping Terms and Conditions.

  10. "Touch ID or Face ID"

    • Support OS: macOS 10.12.4 and later.

    • The key to skipping the biometric setup.

  11. Intelligence: The key to skipping the Intelligence pane. This key is available in iOS 18 and later and macOS 15 and later.
