Explore the new feature of creating a Wi-Fi policy for a Windows device in the suite portal. This guide will walk through the process step by step.

Start by navigating to the policies tab in device management.

Step 1: Select to create a new policy from scratch. Search for the Wi-Fi policy and select the corresponding Wi-Fi policy for the Windows device.

Step 2: Input the necessary configuration for the Wi-Fi policy, including the policy name and the policy description.

Step 3: Choose the option to bypass existing Wi-Fi profiles. Be aware that setting Wi-Fi profiles will disrupt the current Wi-Fi connection on the devices.

Step 4: Click the add button to add a new profile for the Wi-Fi that the Windows device should connect to. Input the name of the profile.

Step 5: Input the name of the SSID of the Wi-Fi that the device should connect to. This should be case-sensitive.

Step 6: Input the SSID name of the Wi-Fi. There's also an option to create the SSID prefix name of the Wi-Fi, which is case sensitive too.

Step 7: Set the key for the Wi-Fi. This is the key needed to connect to the Wi-Fi. Choose the option for the shared key. It can be the passphrase or the network key.

Step 8: Define the shared key or the network key to connect to the network. The passphrase will be the Wi-Fi password that allows the device to connect to the Wi-Fi.

Step 9: Define the key material or the password of the Wi-Fi.

Step 10: Refer to the configuration details before applying the configuration in the Wi-Fi profiles.

Step 11: Once the configuration is complete, proceed to the next step and select the device to install the Wi-Fi policy.

Step 12: Finish the policy creation process. Once the Wi-Fi policy is successfully created, it will be installed on the selected device.

Ensure the device is connected to the Internet to get its Wi-Fi profile installed before disconnecting from the Wi-Fi.
