Key Information on JumpCloud MDM Removal

If your JampCloud MDM profile is password-protected, you can use the Swif silent installer to remove it.

  • Identifier: com.jumpcloud.mdm

    • To find an MDM profile ID on an Apple device, navigate to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management (or “Profiles & Device Management”). On Macs, go to System Settings > General > Profiles. The profile ID (often a reverse-DNS name like com.example.mdm) is listed within the detailed view of the installed management profile.

  • The JumpCloud removal key is located directly within your JumpCloud Admin Portal under Device Management or via PowerShell scripts.

Upload the Swif silent installer PKG to JumpCloud

Download the silent installer

Log in to the JumpCloud and Navigate to Software Management and add the Swif Silent Installer PKG to the Mac Device group.

After adding an application to a device group, it will be installed on all devices in that group. Once the command is sent, the local admin user will need to enter their password to allow the profile installation, as shown in the screenshots below.

Then, enroll the profile on the target device.
