Swif’s Web Content Filter allows admins to create custom blocklists and allowlists to control access to specific domains. By uploading TXT files, you can define multiple blocklists and allowlists, enabling tailored content filtering for your organization. This feature enhances security and compliance by providing granular control over web usage.

How Blocklists and Allowlists Work
Blocklist Rules:
Domains on the blocklist are automatically restricted from user access.
If a blocklist domain is also in an allowlist, the allowlist takes precedence.
Allowlist Rules:
Domains on the allowlist are always accessible, even if they appear on a blocklist.
Priority Logic:
Swif processes allowlists before blocklists to ensure essential domains remain accessible.
Example Use Cases
Block Unauthorized AI Tools: Upload a blocklist targeting specific AI tools that are restricted in your organization.
Allow Business-Critical Tools: Use an allowlist to ensure access to essential SaaS platforms or tools.
Benefits of Custom Blocklists and Allowlists
Enhanced Security:
Prevent access to malicious or unapproved websites.
Improved Productivity:
Restrict non-work-related content while allowing critical tools.
Granular Control:
Tailor content filtering to specific teams, departments, or devices.
