The Swif Browser Extension enables real-time endpoint visibility, web data protection, and automated SaaS discovery. Use the Insights Dashboard or Shadow IT Settings to deploy the extension and activate security features.
1. Deploy the Browser Extension
Before browser-level policies can take effect, deploy the extension to your managed fleet:
Go to any Shadow IT settings page (e.g., Shadow IT > Application access).
Click Manage Deployment on the setup banner.
Choose your rollout method:
MDM Silent Push: Automatically force-install across managed Chrome, Edge, Brave, or Safari browsers.
Self-Enrollment: Share direct store install links with team members.
2. Configure Features via Insights Dashboard
The Insights Dashboard highlights all available features in a top banner and within the Shadow IT Features modal.
Rules to Configure

3. Status Lifecycle
Not Configured: Displays a Not Configured badge with a Configure button for initial setup.
Configured: Once policies are saved, the status updates to Configured, the button switches to Manage, and corresponding metric widgets become active on the Insights Dashboard.
