How to pack your laptop for shipment for maximum protection
Updated over a week ago

To pack your laptop for shipment with maximum protection, follow these steps:

1. First, make sure your laptop is turned off and disconnected from any power sources or peripherals.

2. Use a sturdy shipping box (as in the below image) that is slightly larger than the laptop itself. This will provide enough space for cushioning materials to protect the device during transit. If you use Swifteam retrieval, you will receive a retrieval box similar to the image below.

3. Wrap the laptop in a layer of bubble wrap or foam padding. Make sure to cover all sides, corners, and edges of the laptop to provide adequate protection against impacts and vibrations during shipping.

4. Place the wrapped laptop inside the shipping box. If there is any extra space around the laptop, fill it with additional cushioning materials such as packing peanuts, crumpled paper, or more bubble wrap. This will help prevent the laptop from shifting or moving around inside the box during transit.

5. Seal the box securely with strong packing tape. Make sure to tape all seams and edges of the box to prevent it from opening during shipping.

6. Label the box clearly with the shipping label or return label that comes with the shipping box if you use Swifteam retrieval. Otherwise, you can purchase a label on Swifteam separately.
