After assigning a policy, you may want to confirm it deployed successfully to the intended devices. Related guide: Assigning policies to devices or groups.
Step-by-step (macOS)
1) In Swif, open the policy and review the deployment/status report for the target device (and confirm the device is checking in).
2) On the Mac device, open Apple menu > System Settings.
3) Go to Device Management.
4) Look for the profile/payload installed by the policy (name should match what you configured).
Troubleshooting
- If the profile isn’t present, make sure the device is online and has checked in recently.
- If the device is in the wrong group, it may not be targeted by the policy.
- Some changes apply after a reboot or after the next device check-in.
