Overview
Swif Browser Security brings Swif's browser protection to Microsoft Edge on Windows. It works the same way as in Chrome and Firefox: it helps you see which SaaS apps and AI services your users visit, block the ones you don't allow, and catch unapproved sign-ups.
Swif Browser Security was previously called the Swif Edge Extension. In the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store, it may still be listed as SWIF Access Discovery.

With a Swif policy (recommended)
Use the Windows Microsoft Edge Extension Policy to install Swif Browser Security on all your Windows devices automatically. This keeps the extension installed and up to date everywhere. See Edge extension policy for Windows below.
On one device
Use this to test Swif Browser Security, or to install it on a single device:
In Edge, open Swif Browser Security in the Microsoft Edge Add-ons store.
Click Get.
When asked, click Add extension.
Look for the Swif Browser Security icon in Edge's toolbar. If you don't see it, open the Extensions menu (the puzzle piece icon), and pin it.
Click the icon, and sign in with your Swif account, or create one.
Get started
Set up your rules. In Swif, set up blocklists, allowlists, and Shadow IT alerts.
Review activity. Check your Shadow IT dashboard for site visits, flagged sites, and blocked sign-ups.
Adjust as needed, to keep your organization secure and compliant.
