Use these steps to lock a specific user account on a device (for example, when an employee is offboarding or a device is lost).
Note: Locking an account prevents that user from signing in. If you need to secure the entire device immediately, consider wiping the device instead.
1) In the Swif Admin Console, go to Devices > Inventory.
2) Find the device, click the three dots (...) and select View Details.
3) Open the Accounts tab. Click the three dots (...) next to the user account you want to lock.
4) Click Lock/Unlock.
5) In the confirmation pop-up, click Lock account to confirm.
To unlock later: repeat the steps above and choose Unlock from the same menu.
For the locking device, use the Manage menu > Lock to lock a device.
To unlock a device lock, you can visit How to unlock a Mac computer after it is locked.
