Password manager detection and reporting

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The safety of your machine must have Password Manager (PM) software or browser extensions installed and in use. You should inquire with your IT administrator about the preferred PM solution for your organization. Swif is capable of detecting and updating a range of PM software for external compliance automation platforms like Vanta and Drata. If you are utilizing a different PM software or browser extensions, please contact your admin to have it included as an approved option.

Password Manager Apps

Mac-specific note about Apple Passwords

On macOS, Swif also detects and reports Apple’s built-in Passwords app (Passwords.app) when it is installed under:

/System/Applications/Passwords.app

This means Apple Passwords will now appear in Swif’s password manager reporting, along with the other supported password managers listed above.
