This guide introduces the process of uploading custom applications for Linux devices.

Start by navigating to the application tab under device management.

Uploading Custom Application

Step 1: Click on Add new custom application package.

Step 2: Select Linux from the operating system options.

Step 3: Fill in the necessary information for the custom application. For instance, if uploading the Brave browser, enter "Brave" as the application name.

Step 4: Fill in the description and domain of the application. The application logo will automatically populate from the provided domain.

Step 5: Enter the version number of the custom application.

Step 6: Select the tags for the application. For instance, select "web browser" for the Brave application.

Step 7: Swif supports 5 types of Package Formats - Package Manager, DEB, RPM, ARCH, ZIP, TAR as well as these Package Manager Types - APT, DNF, FlATPAK, PACMAN, RPM, SNAP, YUM, ZYPPER.

In this example, we choose the Package Manager for the custom application management.

Step 8: Select the type for the package manager. Choose all to indicate that this package manager supports the latest operating system.

Step 9: Fill in the app name. For instance, enter "Brave Browser".

Step 10: Select the external repository to declare the external repository for different platforms.

Step 11: Fill in the repository URL, distribution, and component value for the Debian platform.

Step 12: Fill in the Key Source value.

Step 13: Add another external platform for the RPM with the repo value and key source value.

Step 14: Fill in the pre-install and post-install command script as well as the validation rules with the part of the install and uninstall script.

Step 15: Click on the continue button.

Step 16: Select the device assignment. For instance, select the Linux device group and click the continue button.

Step 17: Review all the settings for the custom application and then click the finish button.

Step 18: Check the uploaded custom application by searching for the application.
