This guide explains the process of customizing compliance control settings for an organization.
Start by navigating to the settings.
Next, select the Compliance tab.
This will display a list of compliance requirements, each with different controls. The controls include software control, system preference, user accounts, environment, and password manager.
These settings are paired with the recommended settings and the current settings of the organization.
Step 1: Update and change the current settings as needed. For instance, modify the screensaver idle time for the macOS device's screensaver policy, the power policy of the Windows device, and the idle delay and lock delay of the Linux device's screensaver policy.
Step 2: Adjust the minimum passcode plan for the macOS, Windows, and Linux devices.
Step 3: Click Save Change.
The new settings will now be applied to the compliance control. These become the new conditions to verify if a device meets the compliance requirements.
To verify the changes, visit the compliance center. Here, it's possible to see the updated screensaver policy and the password minimum passcode plan. Any device that doesn't meet these requirements will be marked as non-compliant. This status will also be reflected in the device compliance readiness. A device must meet the new compliance settings to be marked as compliant.
There's also an option to reset default settings.
Applying the default template will reset all compliance requirements. This concludes the guide on how to customize compliance requirements.
