Set up Swif integration with Thoropass

Swif's integration with Thoropass allows you to streamline your security and compliance processes by combining Swif's device management capabilities with Thoropass's comprehensive security monitoring and compliance tools. This integration enables your organization to achieve and maintain compliance with various security standards, such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and more.

By integrating Swif with Thoropass, you can:

1. Automate device inventory: Swif's device management capabilities will automatically populate your Thoropass dashboard with device information, making it easier to maintain an up-to-date inventory of all company devices.

2. Monitor device security: Swif will continuously monitor your devices for security vulnerabilities and compliance gaps, ensuring that your devices are always compliant with your organization's security policies and industry regulations.

Streamline onboarding and offboarding: Swif's onboarding and offboarding features ensure that new employees have the necessary devices and access, while also revoking access and securely wiping devices for employees who are leaving the organization.   2. Devices

    1. User accounts: When was the last login timestamp for each account

    2. Disk encrypted or not

    3. Managed by MDM or not

  3. OS update:

    1. If OS updates are automatically installed

  4. Password policy:

    1. The minimum length of password requirement

  5. Screensaver policy:

    1. If Screen Saver requires a password to log back in

    2. If Screen saver turns on after some duration

  6. Installed applications: These can be used to detect antivirus installation and password manager installation on a device.

  7. Installed browser extensions (Coming soon in 2024)

  8. When utilizing Swif for computer wiping, it's possible to download Media Disposal evidence. This evidence can then be conveniently uploaded to Drata for record-keeping and auditing purposes. It provides a clear and auditable trail of device disposal, which is crucial for data privacy and security.

    * If you receive password manager alerts on Thoropass, it was decided based on the installed application and browser extension data. Password managers are a good security practice to ensure that passwords aren’t stored on their laptops in plaintext, that each website has a different password, etc. Here is the list of apps and extensions Thoropass considers a password manager. We don't report installed browser extensions at the moment.


To connect, you can follow these steps to set up the integration with Thoropass:

  1. Visit Integrations app https://app.swif.ai/org/account > Integrations

  2. Click the Thoropass logo to view the detailed integration

  3. Click 'Connect' to start the integration

  4. Enter your Thoropass account with account permission on the Thoropass auth page

  5. After the authentication, you will be redirected to Swif to finish the connection.

  6. Congratulations, you are done! Swif will sync data hourly to Thoropass. Swif will now sync the following devices to your Thoropass application.

    1. The device type is Laptop or Desktop

    2. OS is macOS or Windows

    3. Has current owner (Assigned devices only)

    4. Status is ACTIVE

    5. It's Enrolled

To disconnect, you can follow these steps to disconnect the Thoropass app:

  1. Visit Integrations app https://app.swif.ai/org/account > Integrations

  2. Find the Thoropass integration

  3. Click 'Disconnect' to disable the integration.
