AI-Assisted Provisioning and Deprovisioning

Swif IQ uses artificial intelligence to help team admins provision and deprovision employee accounts across SaaS applications — directly from the Swif browser extension.

Overview

Instead of manually navigating each application's admin panel and filling in forms, Swif IQ's AI assistant can intelligently identify form fields on a page and automatically fill in the correct employee information for provisioning, or locate and remove a user for deprovisioning.

This feature is available for apps that are supported by the AI assistant. You can check which apps support AI-assisted provisioning in your admin console under Shadow IT > AI-Assisted Apps.

How It Works

Swif IQ analyzes the structure of the current web page using semantic understanding (the page's accessibility tree) to identify input fields, buttons, and interactive elements. It then maps your employee's information — such as name and email — to the correct form fields and completes the action.

For provisioning, the AI fills in the employee's name and email into the app's invite or add-user form, then submits it.

For deprovisioning, the AI locates the employee's account within the app's team management page and initiates removal.

Using AI-Assisted Provisioning

  1. Navigate to the supported app's team or admin page in your browser.

  2. Open the Swif browser extension.

  3. The extension will display that Swif IQ supports AI Provisioning and Deprovisioning for the detected app.

  4. Select an employee from the dropdown list (sorted A–Z).

  5. Click Provision.

  6. The AI will begin filling in the employee's information. You can expand View Activity to see the execution steps in real time.

  7. Once complete, a success confirmation will appear.

Note: The Provision button is automatically disabled if the selected employee already exists in the app.

Using AI-Assisted Deprovisioning

  1. Navigate to the supported app's team or admin page in your browser.

  2. Open the Swif browser extension.

  3. Select the employee you want to remove from the dropdown list.

  4. Click Deprovision.

  5. The AI will locate the employee's account and initiate the removal process. You can expand View Activity to monitor progress.

  6. A success confirmation will appear once the deprovisioning is complete.

Note: The Deprovision button is automatically disabled if the selected employee does not exist in the app.

Execution Modes

Swif IQ supports two execution modes:

  • Exploration Mode (default): The AI agent autonomously navigates the app's pages to find where to provision or deprovision, then performs the action. This is the default behavior when you click the Provision or Deprovision button.

  • Manual Mode (fallback): If the AI is unable to find the correct page automatically, it will prompt you to navigate to the team management page yourself. Once you're on the correct page, click the fill-in button and the AI will complete the form fields.

Supported Apps

The list of supported AI-assisted apps is managed by your organization's admin. Apps are evaluated individually for compatibility with AI-assisted workflows. If an app is not yet supported, the extension will indicate that AI provisioning is unavailable for that application.

To view or manage the list of supported apps, go to your Admin Console > Shadow IT > AI-Assisted Apps.

Requirements

  • The Swif browser extension must be installed and active.

  • You must have a Team Admin role in your organization.

  • The target app must be in your organization's supported AI-assisted apps list.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which employee data is used during provisioning?
The AI uses the employee's name and email address from your organization's employee directory to fill in provisioning forms.

Can any employee account be deprovisioned regardless of how it was originally added?
Yes. Any user account — whether discovered via Google OAuth, Azure AD, browser extension detection, admin-managed, or API-managed — can be deprovisioned using the AI assistant, as long as the app supports AI deprovisioning.

What happens if the AI can't complete the action?
If Exploration Mode fails, the AI will fall back to Manual Mode and ask you to navigate to the correct page. From there, it will attempt to complete the form fill or removal action.

Is this the same as API-based provisioning?
No. API-based provisioning uses direct integrations with app APIs (requires an access token configured by an admin). AI-assisted provisioning works through the browser extension by interacting with the app's web interface, which means it can support apps that don't offer provisioning APIs.
